Collecting movie action figures is not a kid thing to do. In fact, most adults love to line up their favorite movie action figures and show them off too. It’s a fun hobby, especially if you are a die-hard movie lover. And the best part about collecting movie action figures is that they are so easy to find, unlike boring old stamps, dried flowers or something of that order. You can lay your hands on the latest of the movie action figures almost at the same time the movies are released.
Some-time back Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would have been the only commonly known movie action figure, along with a couple of others like spider-man and superman, but today you can find an array of all sorts of movie action figures in the market. They vary from horrible Boogeyman figures to spooky pumpkin-heads and corpse brides, from weird spirit imitates to Prices of Prussia and warrior princesses, from Avatars to Edward and Belle figures of Twilight and Harry Potter movie action figures to Indiana Jones toys. There are so many to choose from and if you are lucky you can own at least one movie action figures from all the blockbusters, latest or not.
The prices of movie action figures and their availability depend on the popularity of the figure and the movie. So you could probably buy six inch Star Wars figure for less than $7. However, there are cheaper movie action figures made of cheaper material that are not very good replicas of the original figures.
There are numerous reasons as to why people collect movie action figures. The commonest is to pass time and for fun. Kids tend to collect movie action figures (pleading with parents to buy the latest, of course) to put up with peer pressure. It’s a similar phenomenon like teenage girls wanting to own branded handbags. And astonishingly, psychologists have found out that some people collect such movie action figures to please their desires to live in fantasy. Amusing isn’t it? Note that it isn’t unhealthy to do so, especially since movie action figures are fun to collect.
Some of the most popular movie action figures include zombies, super-heroes like superman and the Incredible Hulk, Anime movie figure like Shrek and Toy Story figures, Bleeding edge dolls, Female hero collectibles, Lord of the Rings and Star wars products and Pirates of the Caribbean figures. Those were only a few of the many thousands of movie action figures you can collect and play with.
